Biography

Robert E. Biasotti, Esq., B.C.S. joined The Florida Appellate Firm, P.A. in 2021. Mr. Biasotti has been Board Certified in Appellate Practice by The Florida Bar since 2003. He has handled nearly 300 appeals and has argued appeals in the Florida Supreme Court, all five of Florida’s District Courts of Appeal, and in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been named a Super Lawyer for the past 10 years. Bob previously served as the Florida representative of the ABA Judicial Division’s Council of Appellate Lawyers (CAL), and as a member of CAL’s Executive Board. He was a member of The Florida Bar Appellate Rules Committee (2001-2007), Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal’s Judicial Nominating Commission (2014-2018), and has taught Appellate Practice as an Adjunct Professor at Stetson University College of Law. Bob was the recipient of the Stetson Lawyer’s Association Outstanding Alumni Award. After law school, he was a staff attorney for Judge Blue of the Florida Second District Court of Appeal from 1997-98. Before attending law school, Bob had a 20-year career as a computer programmer and financial executive, serving as Chief Financial Officer for Columbia Artists Management Inc. from 1983 to 1994. In December 2013, Bob was awarded the “Pro Ecclesia Et Pontifice” medal by Pope Francis, which is the highest award that can be presented by the Roman Catholic Church to a lay member. He currently serves as Secretary and Chairman-Elect of the Pastoral Council for the Diocese of St. Petersburg.
